Using the camera as an instrument to capture an instant, or make a sketch, rather than to document or describe a location, is the basis for the rendering of these three series. These photographs also explore the notion of movement in time, as well as incorporating the filtering effects we consistently employ.
Taken from a moving commuter train, sometimes through tinted, dirty windows and during a variety of light and weather conditions, three distinct image groups evolved. These images are intended to provide a concentrated view of a common experience and strive to provide another reminder to really look at what we often see.
